Celebrating 99th Birthday of Maurice Wilkins, whose phenomenal work on DNA structure is the foundation for the science of genomics today.
Maurice Wilkins was a true genomic pioneer – his X-Ray diffraction studies with DNA laid the foundation for Watson & Crick’s double helix structure of DNA. For his contributions, Maurice Wilkins received the Nobel Prize for physiology in 1962, along with Watson & Crick.
