MapmyGenome has added QR codes to its COVID-19 RT-PCR test reports in compliance with Dubai’s health authority guidelines — enabling travellers to present verifiable, tamper-proof digital COVID test certificates when travelling to Dubai and other destinations requiring QR-coded reports.
Why QR Codes on COVID Reports?
As international travel resumed during the pandemic, many countries and airlines required COVID-19 test certificates with QR codes to verify the authenticity of test results. Dubai’s health authority (DHA) mandated that RT-PCR reports include a QR code that could be scanned to verify the result directly from the issuing laboratory’s system — preventing fraud and ensuring traveller safety.
