MapmyGenome, a Hyderabad-based genomics startup founded by Anu Acharya, is making personalised genetic testing accessible to Indians. The company has raised around $2 million to date and has attracted high-profile investors including Rajan Anandan, Google’s Vice-President for India and South-East Asia, who invested $1.1 million as part of the Pre Series-A funding in early 2015. MapmyGenome has reached operational breakeven and is focused on customer acquisition and expanding its product portfolio.
