Telangana Fixes Price Cap on COVID Tests & Treatment

Health Minister Eatala Rajender announced that COVID-19 testing and treatment at private medical facilities in Telangana will be under a price cap. The RTPCR test for COVID is capped at ₹2,200. Tests will only be conducted on those with symptoms of influenza-like illnesses (ILI) and severe acute respiratory illness (SARI).
Treatment Price Caps
Normal isolation ward: ₹4,000 per day
ICU without ventilator: ₹7,500 per day
ICU with ventilator: ₹9,000 per day
Government treatment continues to be free
